The Skateboard sizes listed are the width of the deck in inches.
The bigger the deck, the more stability it offers.
All of our Skate School boards are around the 8.0″- 8.25″ range and most beginner Skate Kids are fine on that size board.
As a general rule we recommend choosing a deck size anywher from 8.0″ – 8.25 for kids 6-12 yrs old.
Smaller kids or petite kids can ride smaller boards, eg 7.75″ – 8.0″.
The only exeption being if you have an extra tall or bigger child then we reccomend purchasing an 8.5″ complete.
